Hi, I am asking around for advice on careers. My daughter due to decide on 6 form colleges etc. I am thinking that starting with interests and passions is always good. So she loves art photography music drama and the outdoors.we spend every schooll holiday camping and walking around Britain . She loves Scotland. I have emailed a few campsite managers, we have met photographers and artists all over the country . my bro in law is a tree surgeon so picking his brains, just looking for careers ideas and the truth about what its really like.maybe rangers outdoors education, if you have any experiences please share.

Hope I'm not being too pessimistic but competition is fierce. From my experience, if she wants to know more about being a ranger, I would recommend volunteering - weekends and holidays - good way to get experience of working at a visitor centre, nature reserve, etc etc. Also looks good on a CV at the end of the day.
