Autocorrect woes

Postby nigheandonn » Fri Nov 21, 2014 10:58 am

Has anyone else tried writing up walk reports on a tablet? I seem to have convinced it not to turn Grisedale into Gristle, but it still determinedly turns Thirlmere into Thriller and cairns into Cairo, and this morning I've also had Tranmere for Grasmere and Paternal for Patterdale! :)

Braemar comes up as 'Bear Market' ! Is there a bear market? Can we buy a bear? What would you do with it?

Make it dance? My grandma used to tell a story of meeting some men with a dancing bear when she was very young - she'd have been 8 when WW1 ended - and being convinced that they were Germany spies.

I get 'grammar' for Braemar, though :)

I was grumbling about predictive text to a friend, and he sent me the following

"Sounds painful with the predictive text - I turned mine off as it drove me up the wall; even when I corrected it, it reinstated its prediction!
Wilkiemurray???"

Can't think where he has been posting.
