I wasn't going to bother with an open walk report for this traipse up my local hill but I did a new route and was so enamoured with it I thought I'd share it for others to use. Also, it was a glorious day and I ate my lunch at the top whilst sunbathing - in November.

Here are the photos.

Milton Loch with Beinn a'Chlachain behind. I took an anti-clockwise route and visited the lower top (to the right here) first.

On the diagonal ascent, one solo holly tree. You can see the lower top (710m) of Beinn Bhan on the right.

Looking across to Rona and the north end of Skye.

Beinn Alligin, Beinn Dearg, Beinn Eighe and Liathach with Ben Shieldaig on the right.

The lochans were perfectly calm ...

... with ice on some.

The lochan just below the summit.

Summit shelter and trig point. Out of the wind it felt hot.

Summit on the right of centre.

I descended round the rim of Coire Glas which was a delightful and easy way down. Across the glen are Beinn Bhan on the left, Carn Dearg centre and Sgurr a'Chaorachain on the right.

Applecross Bay and the Inner Sound over to Skye.

Just before sunset looking across to the Cuillin. Bla Bheinn and Clach Glas in the centre.

A fabulous walk on a fabulous day!

Liz and I were just speaking about you as we looked across to the Applecross hills from Kintail and I was reflecting that often your best photos are the ones taken nearest to home! Must come over and climb those hills. :D

Great pictures and it looks a good choice of route. Its always good to get a circular route and get to see the views from different angles. I like the images looking across the lochans.
