Thigh deep snowdrift on the steepest parts of the ascent made this a taxing and slow climb. Spectacular summit with storm clouds to the north and St Kilda visible out to the west. I was so excited about seeing St Kilda and then someone tried to pour scorn on that claim but there it was. I admired the ridge leading west but thought better of trying to tackle it in my knackered state. The way down comprised long glisades and felt relatively effortless after all that struggle on the way up.
