New 2015 Hill Walking partners required - Highlands

Postby 007iron » Sat Jan 10, 2015 8:17 pm

In an effort to tick a few more hills off the list I am interested to meet up with anyone else also looking for some new Hill Walking partners!

I work shifts so my availability can be varied. Tends to be more weekdays that I hill walk but can do weekends from time to time.
I'm not one of these super-human super-fit people but am generally in good shape for my 37 years and active enough to get up and down the hills in a pretty reasonable manor!!
Looking to meet like minded people, male or female, of a similar sort of age that are happy to have some different company on your wanders.

I'm based in Nairn so have good access to the North West Highlands/ Cairngorms etc although am happy to potentially wander hills further a field too!

If any of the above sounds of interest give me a shout!!

Hi unlike Darren I am available just about any day - it's tough being retired

Don't plan to tackle any Munro's for another month or so, by then we will have a few more daylight minutes

You can either PM me or post in the "Meets" thread

Hello

I'd be keen to have company to walk in the Cairngorms or to finish some of the hills in Assynt and the North West Highlands. I'm planning to take a week off end of May to get a good go at some of them. The plan would be to camp or use bothies as appropriate.

Hardcore!! This coming from someone who looks to be nearing Compleation!!
Yeah I am interested in mid-week days more too. Just frustrated at the moment that the weather is just a little too dodgy on higher ground. Feel free to get in touch or message me anytime you are thinking of venturing out!

Should I not maybe be a bit wary of someone with a profile name such as savagealice!!

Hi,

I'm based near Kylesku and also looking for company to go up the hills, mainly Munros. I will probably be arriving mid february, staying near Alchitibuie until february 23rd, before getting back to work. Then I will have my saturdays off.
Let me know if any of you are free to go walking in february, weather depending

I will be working most of February particularly the latter part of the month so would unfortunately not be around.
Thanks for the reply though and feel free to get in touch if you have future plans! :)

Hi mickyjones! would be good to have more walking buddies in the Highlands. Do you just go out weekends or do you ever get out in the week? Love your pics of Cluanie on the Mutts on Munros thread! :D
