Hello - I'm coming to Glenmore Lodge to do the 5-day winter skills course (26th-30th), then staying up for the weekend (31st Jan/1 Feb) to put said skills to use.

Is there anyone who fancies a new buddy for a day in the hills?

I'll only have a week of practice w ice axe and crampons under my belt, so nothing too hair-raising, please. :) But generally fit and well and self-reliant and not a moaner. And I'll bring cake :)

I'm totally flexible on where we go, although I don't have a car (staying at Glenmore for Fri night and Sat night). Need to be back in Aviemore to get the train home on Sunday night.

thanks all!

I did the 2 day course the week before you and walked the weekend before it and the day after...
after just 5 days of full on winter walking I was completely floored!
I went home on day 6 absolutely knackered....
(and I am well used to lots of exercise)
Loved every minute though.
Hope you find company and the energy for the weekend!
