I cant thank Paul Webster and all that drive this wonderful website. Stumbling on a short book by Paul and Helen about walks on the Isle of Skye led me to this web site. I am from the USA and I planned our 10 day trip to the highlands and the isle of skye using walkhighlands as a guide for our trip. It was such a help in choosing treks we could reach and could complete being 60 ish. I knew the routes, had the maps, and had a rough idea of what we were going to attempt. We did the Lost Valley in Glen Coe, Steall Falls and Nevis Gorge, the Glenfinnan Viaduct trail, Neptunes Staircase and the canal, the Fairy Pools, Quiraing, the Fairy Glen near Uig, the Coral Beach near Dunevan, and a trip our two around Edinburgh...only winds from a wayward hurricane kept us from Coire Lagan. What a wonderful, complete guide for the outdoors...don't doubt for a minute that your efforts are in vain, we had a wonderful trip in October 2014 and thank you all for input, ideas, maps, and equipment suggestions...dave jarrard, Bedford, Indiana usa

So long as noone 'rocks the boat...'

This is a pretty good site tho, I sometimes feel guilty cause I'm on here so much but haven't actually walked any highlands in over a year now (cept Bennachie).
