Have you lost or found some gear when out in the hills?

Lost: Garmin GPSMAP 62S on Beinn Dorain (Sat 7th Feb 15)

Despite being attached to the loop on my pack using the Garmin caribiner clip, my trusty old GPSMAP 62S (red/gray unit in a black leather case) managed to escape somewhere between 900m Beinn Dorain (on the walkhighlands route) and the bealach between Dorain and Beinn an Dothaidh, on Saturday. I last glanced at it coming down from Carn Sasunnaich and noticed it was missing just before getting to the bealach. I ended up retracing my steps back up to where I last seen it but either I didn't retrace them well enough, it managed to get buried in snow, or someone spotted and rescued it.

These things are expensive enough but it had nearly a full 1:25K map SDCard on it which Garmin charge an eye-watering amount for, so if anyone found it or knows where it might be, I'd be very grateful.

I dropped my camera recently, and if I hadn't known where, I wouldn't of found it in the snow.. At least a GPS should be waterproof, so you might be lucky :)

To late now but i use a cord through the GPS itself then tied on the rucksack after nearly losing my one
Although the Garmin clip looks secure it's actually quite crap :(

Hope you get it back
