Singles - West Highland Way

Singles - West Highland Way

Postby Joolsstallard » Fri Mar 13, 2015 11:44 am

Hi guys and girls

I'm planning on walking the West Highland Way in earlish May and hoping to meet some like minded people along the way. I've been single for 18 months and never seem to meet the outdoorsy adventurous types of people. So I thought if I do more of the things I love to do I'm likely to meet some like minded people and possibly even a partner to share everything that an outdoor active life brings.

Anyway I'd love some advise and maybe even some company so please post away........

Thanks

Jools :D

Give me a shout when you need a mate on the walk. I'd love to do a few of the bits I've not done before.

I reckon I'll be at sea by then. Any day trips in the next week or two? Better a day trip than a weekender, so one is not stuck with a psycho, if anyone turns out to be such...

I did the West Highland Way in 2013 but planning to do it again this year carrying all my gear so I'd be up for it early May and if it's a singles walk I'll need a date, preferably a lady between 21-35 :D
Alternatively a walk with some like minded strangers will suffice!

Hey jules999,

I'm on the trail from May 27th to the 31st.

Meeting some of my MBA classmates from USA the last two days.

Likely skipping the first two days of the trail.

Wild Camping.

Just looking for fun hill walking buddies and nothing more.

Best

Hi Jools. Did you arrange your WHW trip in the end? Not single but looking to do the WHW sometime.

Glaw, I'll be doing the WHW from the end of May and I'm looking for some company, if you fancy it. Backpacking and camping throughout..

Given the subject, this reply may be out of place but my wife and I are starting the WHW on Friday 5/29. Would love to meet up with anyone who reads this site...single, married (happily or otherwise), whatever. Andrew, loved your trip reports...if we meet along along the way, the first round is on me.

Well if the first round is on you 4shotB how could I refuse
I'll certainly make the effort since I'm planning to start walking on the same weekend as you.
Anyone else fancy a round of the WHW?
