Ben Avon Footbridge

Ben Avon Footbridge

Postby Lightfoot2017 » Tue Apr 14, 2015 3:28 pm

Does anyone know if the Ben Avon footbridge has been repaired yet?

I recall Braemar MRT posted on Bookface that it had been badly damaged in early March.

Grateful for update, folks, as I might head up there tmrw ( Wed 15th).

Thanks in advance.

Wasn't a problem when I was up there on 13th March

Mind and take your bike Paul, well worth all the trouble - especially on the return the freewheeling downhill is good on the legs

Paul, which of the various foot bridges between civilisation and the top of Ben Avon are you referring to here and is it still there?

Hi Boris
Sorry, l ended up NOT doing Ben Avon, but instead opted for Carn Bhac from Inverey.

There was a post earlier ( March time) about the footbridge on the route to Ban Avon being down. But as l haven't ( yet) scaled it, l can't be sure which bridge was being referred to.

I have great confidence in Martin's ( Fife Flyer) walk reports, and as he bagged BA last month, that's good enough for me!

Cheers.
