A beautiful still, clear morning , stunning views with the hills bathed in the early morning light. Started from Derrydarroch and a new track for a hydro scheme up beside the Allt a'Chuillin made for easy progress before a short pathless section to join the ridge.
Think I heard a dotterel at the summit. Great views, could see out towards the islands and all the hills were clear. Nice rocky outcrops and lochans on the way up to the top, very beautiful with the sunrise casting shadows among the outcrops.

There's a layby directly opposite the track which leads into Derrydarroch farm. You follow part of the west highland way for a bit then the new track leads up through the glen. There were some warning signs since they are working on the dam but I started walking really early before anyone was there. Hope you enjoy the route!
