Biked in fron Linn of Dee car park to just south of Luibeg Bridge. Carn a'Mhaim straightforward but visibility coming and going. Nice walk off summit northwards along ridge. Long climb again through boulder fields onto bealach with visibility very poor, wet and windy. Made it to summit of Ben Macdui. Intended traversing east around cliffs to Derry Cairngorm but terrain and visibility slowed progress so came back down ridge to Glen Luibeg back to bikes. Fell arse over tit on bikes after hitting path drain. Crossed river for shortcut-very wet feet. Long exhausting day! Not my most favourite day on hills but a good nav exercise and experience that you should quit if not going to plan. Derry Cairngorm can wait for another day!
