Leave gammy legs house at 7am and on the road to ben more farm, set off from sign for ben more next to road,2nd time for me up ben more gammy's first,so know there is a steep climb up the north face with a slightly visible path so i packed light today and took my day bag,we follow the winding farm track up to the gate and cross over and start to climb ben more the path is more visible due to the heavy rainfall, after an hour of putting the hood up and down i am saturated with water and so is gammy,i tell him not long until we hit the brick wall (on the hill i mean  ),gammy puts another dry base layer on for warmth and we have a quick mug of soup ,we start climbing again following the stream that was running down the path we get to the wall and the path is more visible our spirits are lifted slightly i tell gammy not long now mate lets push on up,the mist is coming and going and the large summit cairn is seen :D ,there is small shows of sunshine and blue skies it doesnt really help as we are soaked,we drop down from ben more to the bealach ,there is a huge mass of rock that we sheltered behind for more fuel(jelly babies etc :D ),this is also the start of the path down from the bealach to benmore burn. after our grub we left our rucksacks behind and headed up the slopes of stob binnein after 40-45min we were at the summit no views so a quick photo and down to the huge rock at bealach, quick change wet jacket off, fleece on and we start the descend down a vey boggy path down to benmore burn (think gammy spent more time on his backside on way down) we reach benmore burn the path is mega boggy until we reach the farm track, which leads back to start.a freezing day with 3hours of rain to drench us but not dampen our day to much.

Hya JB, sounds like you and Gammy got a lot out of this walk despite the crappy weather. Its good to have a good chum to walk with, keeps each other's morale up when you feel like just turning back...

Hi JB

Well done to both you & Gammy. I've had two fails on Ben More both snow related. Ended up doing them both seperatly.

The weather is ment to be good this weekend so you could always go up again

Jonny
