Having been unable to get out for a couple of week's and with the list of chores to do at home getting longer by the day, myself and the old boy decided on a shorter day, with broadford only half an hour away we chose a route i had walked before and enjoyed.

We set off from the wtw at Strollamus about a mile or so north of Broadford.

Weather was perfect, hovering around the freezing mark and hardly a cloud in the sky, although very hazy in the distance.

Great wee hill this with some nice scrambling sections, i guess very much untouched due to it's neighbours.

Hey, wait for me!

The views from the top of these hill's have to be one of the finest you can get of the Cuillin's and of the red hill's, been up here a few times and the jaw drops every time.

Brilliant, these hills looked so tempting when i was walking through Skye in the summer, knew there would be great views to the cuillin. I think the hazyness can add a good effect to the view when the tops are covered in snow

Ah, to have these hills so close to home - that'd be great :D

I could see a slight glimmer of sunshine out to the west yesterday, so I guessed the weather was probably better out that way. Looks like it was!

Not been up these yet, but looking forward to them. Interesting variation on the normal route - most people start these from Old Corry don't they?

Hi Malky, ye the normal route is up from the old corry, my dad's guide book starts you off between Broadford and Torrin which was a new one on me, this route is a little more interesting with some scrambling sections, if that sort of thing takes your fancy, great wee hill's where ever you leave from.
