Parked at the Bridge of Orchy Hotel on the A82.

Easy path to follow with a nice pink glow over Loch Tulla and the Black Mount hills
behind me heading up to the bealach between Beinn Dorain and Beinn an Dothaidh.

A lot of ice on the rocks and quite precarious on the way up.

Nice views in all directions from Beinn Dorain but a strong freezing wind
meant I couldn’t hang about on the summit for too long.

Down to the bealach again to head up to Beinn an Dothaidh this time.
Met a couple of walkers, John and Maureen, and ended up spending most of the rest
of the day with them till we parted company back at the cars.

Again lovely views all round but this time no wind and time to take it all in and enjoy.

Stopped the car on the way home to capture one last shot of Beinn Dorain.

Great day on the hills and some good company as a bonus :D

so different from my trip yesterday - less snow!

Nice report.

Like the last photo - wouldn't mind tackling Dorain from that SW face...if plastered with snow.

Thanks dooterbang, it was your report that reminded
me I hadn't done one for this yet :)

I reckon you got the better day though with all that snow!

problem I find is that with a lot of snow I just seem to end up with a lot of very white and blue photos whereas yours have white and colour 8)

Thanks rockhopper,

I reckon it's down to the conditions on the day, I've returned from many trips
without any decent photos :(

Nice one Dave,
Its amasing the difference a day makes. Looks like the snow is almost gone. However big snow falls due at the end of the week
