1. This walk starts from the Bin Forest car park just off the A96 north-west of Huntly. This route combines the blue and red waymarked trails. Start by taking the signed path into the woods from near the information board in the car park. The path weaves through a mixture of pine and beech woodland before climbing up to reach a junction.

2. Turn left here to follow the surfaced path which passes some large Scots pines and then Larch. When the path reaches a track keep right to curve round and eventually reach another junction.

3. Turn left here to head downhill and then up to join the blue waymarked route. There are good views of the Deveron River here. The next section has the oldest trees, with trees having been grown and harvested here since 1840. At the T junction turn right following the sign for Forest Walk and keep on the main path as it circles the hill.

4. At a map turn left uphill, the path to the right is a link path leading into Huntly. Near the top of the hill, just before some ruins turn left and then through a gateway and turn right along the track. This passes a couple of houses before reaching a junction where you turn left.

5. Follow this straight track, keeping straight on at a vehicle barrier and turning area, eventually heading downhill. Near the bottom turn left to reach the path linking the blue and red routes. Turn right to cross the open area and then at the T junction on the far side turn left to continue on the red circuit. On this section there are some of the largest trees in the forest including a Sitka spruce growing out of a large rock. At the next junction turn left following the waymarkers back to the car park.
