Webtogs Walk Report Winners - June 2012

Date walked: 02/07/2012

Welcome to July, where we look back at the wettest three month's on record and wonder if this is the point at which the story of Noah's ark starts to be replayed on the first occasion since Biblical times. There's just one thing to say today before I start to rate this month entries.

Right. Got that off me chest so down to business. There have been some cracking reports all told. Apparently you have all been out having a lot of fun in them there mountains. There were quite a few that made their way in to my considerations, but two and two only there has to be, so here are the choices that tickled my fancy.

Monsters (Age 7 & 9) cut some shapes on the Aonach Eagach was the runner up. So have you heard the one about the kids aged 7 & 9 doing the Anoch Eagach? Oh and that they do headstands? Oh and that they look like they're having the best fun ever? Way to go Mum & Dad, you've just got yourselves the runners up spot. No spending the vouchers on sweets though please, you'll rot your teeth.

Smashing the title of winner though this month we have Worshipping the Goddess Buachaille Etive Mor . I started giggling after the first paragraph, chortling after the second and belly laughing at the third. A report that flowed beautifully from the photos and experience of the author, any description I give it simply won't do it justice. Thanks for thinking of something different for the walk highlands boards, your worshipful prayers appear to have been answered. If you haven't read it already, shuffle along before you get struck down by lightning by the goddess of the mountain.

And that's it, another month done and dusted. If you're looking for something to keep you warm in the middle of the pathetic excuse of a summer we are having, we've currently got 44% off Mountain Equipment fleece in a variety of flavours. Until next month folks, where we will hopefully be a tad drier - have fun in the hills.
