Hills completed
(Corbett) Geal Charn Mor

Once again we camped overnight in the back of the van. This time it was to be up Glen Feshie, about 1km before the landing strip. It was snowing on our arrival at 9pm and when we awoke at 5.30am Sat morning it was still snowing.
Drove towards our starting point before deciding to abandon our choice of hills for the day, Sgor Gaoith and Mullach Clach a Bhlair, weather was far too grim to bother chancing it. Managed to get van stuck at bottom of hill prior to the landing strip and by the time we patiently waited for a gritter to arrive it was near 9am.
Our saviour was a carful of 5 hill goers like ourselves, who gladly helped to push us up the hill; from there we headed to Aviemore to plan our attack.
What hills could we do? I only had a map for my intended route, and never new any other routes in the area.
To my rescue came my mobile phone and the APP British Hills. I took a screenshot of the map and route of the Corbett Geal Charn Mor and away we went. We started from Lynwilg farm, and headed NW up the track an Gleannan crossed the small bridge at the foot of Carn Dearg Mor 712m and then SW to the summit of Geal Charn Mor 824m. We descended SE to the 599 point on Creag Ghleanain and back out.

All in all we ended up having a great shorter hiking day than we originally planned. During the day I accasionaly glanced Eastwards to the main Cairngorm mountains and thought to my self that our decision was the correct one for the day.
