The best walk in a year
Route: Leannach Forest circuit
Date walked: 08/11/2016
Distance: 8km
Good day walkers, Completed this walk on the 8 November, 2016. It is a good walk.It is signposted by The Forestry Commission. Great views. Only one problem. At stage 4 walkhighlands advises walkers to ignore the path to the left but the Forestry Commission has erected a sign for car park directing walkers to the left. If you follow this it will take you down but then the car park sign disappears and is replaced with signs going to other places. I would suggest it is best to follow the route at stage 4 detailed by walkhighlands. Despite being described as a forest circuit which usually means there limited views, the views are great and you can see for miles.
The walk was extra special for me as I broken my fibula and tibula (3 breaks and a fracture) in September 2015 whilst walking in the Brecon Beacons and other than walking locally it was the first proper walk I had done. I really enjoyed it.
