1. Park just west of the Allt Mhoraich bridge, opposite a gate which has a sign about this walk; there is space for only two cars. After admiring the stream from the bridge, go through the gate and follow the faint track which leads through a rising grassy field towards Creag na Sanais. The Allt Mhoraich is far below to the left, fringed by deciduous woodland.
2. The path is very faint across the grassy field but you should soon pick up and follow a track which appears to be heading directly for the summit of the crags, before it swings round them to the left. There are good views down the Spey Valley from here. The track soon becomes a path, keeping below the broken crags, and after a couple of marker posts the path itself soon fades to nothing; continue across the trackless moor beneath the crags.
3. After some distance (the moorland is boggy in places) you'll see a fence ahead; the route bears right here, eventually following the fence to the right as it climbs up round the back of the hill. As you round the back of the hill and begin descending again, keep about fifty yards to the right of the fence, where there is a path in places. There are views across towards the moorland hills above Loch Caoldair.
4. Continue downhill close to the fence for about a kilometre. Here another fence goes off to the right; follow this, but when the fence turns back left continue straight ahead; the wind turbine by the cottages at Easter Breakachy is a guide when the waymarkers fail. You should reach the corner of another fence (which encloses the field above Easter Breakachy. Keep to the right of this angle in the fence to find more waymarker posts and eventually a small track, which leads down to the minor road. Turn right along the quiet road to return to the start in around one kilometre.
