1. Take the road up the west side of Glen Feshie and turn right at the Forestry Commission sign for Uath Lochans. The car park and lochside picnic area is 200 metres further on. This circuit, which includes all four lochans, follows the white marker posts. It is possible to shorten the route before the half way point to make an easier walk. From the car park bear left as you face the water to follow a narrow shoreline path going clockwise around the water. This soon reaches a picnic table.
2. The path now follows a section of boardwalk right at the water's edge. In summer there are often waterlilies flowering and many dragon and damselflies to be spotted. As the first lochan is left behind the marshy ground to the right provides good hunting for birds of prey and it is common to see buzzards circling overhead.
3. The boardwalk now heads out across the boggy ground with tall reeds growing in places. From the back of the second lochan there is a good view across to Farleitter Crag and to the Cairngorm mountains looking the other way. Soon a junction is reached. Here you can shorten the walk by turning right to follow the white waymarkers back around the third lochan.
4. This route takes the other route marked with a white plus sign. Follow the boardwalk across heathery ground towards the pine trees. The path now skirts around the largest of the lochans. In winter this is home to Goldeneye ducks and overwintering geese. The path reaches a track and heads right away from the water following the waymarkers. After a bend, turn right onto a marked path through the heather and small pine trees.
5. The path curves round towards the larger trees with good views over the water before passing a bench and heading into the pines. The clear path heads through the trees until it reaches a wider path. Turn right here to follow this all the way back to the car park, ignoring any paths and tracks off to the sides.
