Rois-bheinn round from Inverailort

Other routes and challenges

The classic route is the complete horseshoe walk around the ridges from Lochailort as described above. The descent route given could be used to ascend An Stac on its own.

An alternative is to start from Alisary to the west, heading up the forest edge on south side of the Alisary burn - which is very boggy and awkward, with tussocks above in Coire na Cnamh. An Stac can then be climbed up and down from the bealach, and the day can be continued up to the Rois-bheinn ridge.
