Using Google Earth with this site
The walks on this site can be viewed in Google Earth. This great free software allows you to fly over the landscape of Scotland in glorious 3D - and now you can use it to find and see all our walking routes.
To do this, you must first install Google Earth on your computer. You can do this by downloading it (free) as part of the Google Pack. You might also want to download the Google Toolbar, and Picasa which is free photo management and enhancement software. Use the button below:
Once you have safely installed Google Earth, you are ready to see the walks. Click on the
icon to open all our walks in Google Earth. Make sure you switch on the terrain layer (bottom left of screen), which enables the 3D landscape. Use the compass controls top right of the screen to fly around, rotate and zoom the landscape; the slider above the compass should be used to 'tilt' the view from overhead so you can see the mountains and landscape in all its 3D glory.
