Rowanhill Cottage Acharacle
Accommodation for six people in three twin rooms. Rowanhill is an attractive traditionally built and very comfortable two-storey self catering cottage in its own garden delightfully located beside the River Shiel near Acharacle, Ardnamurchan. Fishing on the River Shiel for salmon and sea-trout can occasionally be arranged through the owners.
Rowanhill overlooks the river and lies beside the very minor road serving the crofting area of Moss about two miles from the thriving village of Acharacle which is served by two hotels, a post office and tearoom, an excellent village store with all provisions, a bakery, fish and chip shop and an Outdoors Shop. This is an ideal location from which to explore Lochaber and Ardnamurchan.

These 3 lovely Highland holiday cottages are real 'homes from home'. Set in 8 acres of landscaped and woodland grounds where red deer, roe deer, pine martens and a huge variety of birds are frequent visitors, they enjoy wonderful views south over Loch Sunart to the hills of Morvern.
Each of the highland holiday cottages is fully equipped and furnished, including towels, bedding, crockery, glassware, cookware, utensils and hairdryers. There are also bicycles and a gas barbecue available for guests to use. Indeed, the facilities and equipment surpass those of most other highland holiday cottages. Guests who have their own boat can enjoy the use of the private slipway, or can even join the owners fishing for prawns on Loch Sunart

It lies a few yards from the shore of beautiful Loch Sunart and is home to a host of wildlife including Red Deer, Pine Martens, Seals and Golden Eagles. The Cottage is set back from the single track road and is accessed by a wooden bridge. The accommodation comprises a large comfortable lounge with wood-burning stove and satellite TV, well equipped kitchen and three bedrooms sleeping a maximum of 6 adults. There is an also an extra single bed in one double bedroom. There is a free wireless Broadband connection and pay telephone if required.Your dog is welcome at no extra charge, and prices include all fuel and bedding.
