Old Balwill cottage is peacefully situated amid glorious Trossachs scenery, on the edge of the Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park, two miles from Buchlyvie. It was originally a signalman's cottage, on the old railway line that ran between Stirling and Balloch and makes an excellent base for exploring Stirlingshire, central Scotland and further afield. Now modernised and extended, Old Balwill provides very comfortable accommodation on two levels. Furnished and equipped to a high standard, the Scottish owners have travelled in southern Africa, and many of the paintings and artefacts come from there.

It is a wonderful touring base for Stirling, Loch Lomond and the National Park, Aberfoyle and the Trossachs, but is only an hour from Inverary, Edinburgh and Perth and under an hour to Glasgow.
The cottage, which has recently been converted from an old barn, dating back to the 18th century, offers spacious accommodation, furnished to the highest standard, and is on three levels.

Tom na Voil is a very comfortable cottage converted from a 150 year old stone building on the Carnegie Estate in Balquhidder.
