Fisherman Fisherman's Cottage, Cromarty

Located on the tip of the Black Isle peninsula, Cromarty is situated 22 miles north east of Inverness. With much of the development of the town being in the early 18th century and now unspoilt by modern architecture a real sense of history and tranquillity surrounds this idyllic spot.

Fisherman's Cottage, originally 2 cottages built in 1775, now a listed building, retains much of its original design and features and has been fully modernised in the Summer of 2007 to the highest of standards. This well equipped property, sleeping up to 5 people, has a comfortable and relaxing atmosphere.

The local attractions in the historic town of Cromarty include the Courthouse, Hugh Miller’s home and organised Dolphin boat trips. In nearby Fortrose and Rosemarkie are extensive beach facilities, the peninsular for observing dolphins and the Groam House Pictish museum. There are several good restaurants in the local area and a full range in Inverness and Dingwall. There are three malt Whisky distilleries and eleven golf courses withinin easy driving of the Lodge.

This luxurious 19th century cottage has recently been fully refurbished, although attractive traditional features have been retained, such as the wood-burning stove in the cosy sitting room. The cottage makes a wonderful pied a terre for a walking or climbing holiday, offering stylish accommodation in a central Highlands location. 180 Munros lie within a 50 mile radius, with the wild northwest Highlands on the doorstep. Returning to your accommodation in the beautiful spa village of Strathpeffer, enjoy a soak in the bath and a dram by the stove.
