Aberlady to North Berwick
The John Muir Way is a continuous coastal path named in honour of the Scottish conservationist John Muir, who was born in Dunbar in the 19th Century. This section of the walk begins at the important medieval port of Aberlady before passing alongside Aberlady Bay, the UK's first Local Nature Reserve, and heading inland across fields and through woodland to reach the fashionable holiday resort of North Berwick.
Well-made surfaced footpaths and pavements, narrow and potentially muddy footpaths and tracks.
The route is best reached using the local bus services.
