Festival organisers say, “Moray has much to offer walkers that visit this less well known area of Scotland. Picture yourself strolling along clifftops over long sandy beaches watching out for the famous Moray Firth dolphins, or scrambling up a hilltop in the footsteps of whisky smugglers, or ambling along old railway tracks through ever-changing scenery and wildlife.”
“The Moray Way Association will be putting together 5 days of exciting walks and other activities for 2013. The festival will be based on the same format as the successful festival in 2012, with walks for all abilities. These will be led by well-informed experienced guides that will make sure you miss none of the local nature, history or culture.”
Details of the programme, costs and booking information for each event can be found at the Moray Walking Festival website. Further events will be added in the future.
