So a bunch of NIMBY experts have concluded to agree with the power companies to desecrate and vandalise large parts of rural, remote, beautiful, sporty, tourist parts of Scotland, all to supply power to the large cities in the south and England. The power companies dont want to spend money on looking at other schemes to transport power south and are going for the cheapest, What about burying the cables. no damage to the cables, pylons during wintry weather etc.; or what about laying the cables under water, again the technology is there to do it.
The height of the pylons will be hazard for the military aircraft training in the ares.
England wouldn't allow the descretation of the Lake dist/Peak Dist etc and the other tourist areas, SO WHY SHOULD WE. Keep these areas as they are for our future generations.
This WILL NOT help/benefit th Scottish people but bring large profits to the power companies, paid for by us. !!!
