The Gaelic Princess Dounhuila, after whom our home is named, used the nearby Spar Cave as a refuge in the 9th Century; you can walk down to the Cave which is in the cliffs below the bungalow.

The house provides self catering accommodation for up to six people in three double rooms. The cottage takes it name from the Cairidh, a circular stone fish trap near the house.

Tigh na Cairidh is superbly located on the shores of Loch Na Cairidh with amazing views towards Broadford, the Isle of Scalpay, Beinn Na Caillich and the surrounding hills. It’s position gives you easy access to the whole island as well as being convenient for a host of pubs, restaurants, shops and other facilities.

Dromore is a modern, detached, fully centrally heated house finished to a high standard. It sleeps up to seven people in two double rooms (one with ensuite shower room), a twin (also with ensuite) and a single room. It is situated in a sheltered location near the centre of Broadford, Skye’s second largest settlement. Approximately 9 miles north of the Skye Bridge, Broadford lies on a beautiful curved bay, with a stunning outlook over the sea to the Island of Pabay, the Crowlin Isles and the mainland hills beyond.

Broadford is renowned as an excellent base for hill-walking, bird-watching and other outdoor pursuits and has a good range of shops and places to eat.

The Four Star cottage sleeps up to four in a cosy, double, curtained boxed bed and two single beds in the gallery, the cottage has under floor heated stone floors throughout, a stove in the living room and a well equipped fully fitted kitchen.

The cottage is situated in the secluded small fishing village of Elgol. At the shore there is a small harbour where local fishing boats land their catches and boat trips run into Loch Coruisk, in the heart of the Cuillins.

The cosy interior features a traditional veiled boxed bed (better than any four poster!), under floor heated stone floors throughout (absolutely wonderful on bare feet!), and a stove in the large stone fire place, prefect for watching the flickering flames & sipping at a wee dram. A well equipped fully fitted kitchen is also installed, but if you don't fancy cooking there are many fine restaurants on Skye. Tigh Seonag has been awarded Four Stars by the Scottish Tourist Board.
