This is a popular area for hill-walking and the view to the rear of the house is of the Trotternish Ridge.

Garden area with lovely views and garden furniture. A fantastic base to tour the island and explore the dramatic landscape of the Trotternish area.

The Deer Stalkers Cottage

Whales can be seen on clear calm days and there are regulare boat cruises from Staffin just 5 minutes drive. Most facilities are located in Staffin and Portree ( Skyes capital ) is only 20 minutes drive south.

The house dates back to around 1870 and was the original family home. It was completely renovated and extended around 1997 and has all the comforts you would expect from a modern property while still maintaining the character of a traditional croft house.
The ground floor of the house has an open plan living area. Upstairs are three good sized bedrooms: one double room a twin bedded room and a single room.

Tigh Cilmartin

Formerly a Church of Scotland manse, Tigh Cilmartin was designed by Thomas Telford and built in 1828. The house is a category ‘B’ listed building and has maintained many of its original features, including sash and casement windows, working shutters, wood paneled walls and open fireplaces. Monkstadt House
near UigOnce the ancestral home of the Clan MacDonald, this historic detached property enjoys wonderful open views across open countryside. Built in the early 1730s, it was here in 1746 that Bonnie Prince Charlie sailed over from Uist with Flora MacDonald, disguised as her maid and landed on the shores at Monkstadt, where he hid from the red coats who were at Monkstadt House.
