1. From the car park walk behind the Torridon Inn and over a small bridge. Follow a sign with a blue marker for the boathouse walk and turn right down a track. At a fork turn left and follow the path as it skirts the fruit and vegetable garden of the Loch Torridon Hotel. The path then emerges at the shore with a lovely view over Eilean Chasgaig across Loch Torridon to the mountain of Beinn Alligin on the far side.
2. Turn left and follow the track around the shoreline. This is a good spot to catch a sighting of herons, oystercatchers and otters. Looking back there are good views of Torridon village and Liathach looming behind. Ignore a path coming in from the left and continue past a house on the left. Just beyond the house turn sharply left onto a marked path which climbs steeply at first. The track beyond this point is private and not a right of way.
3. The path threads up through woodland giving views of the boathouse to the right. Continue on the path through a tunnel of rhododendrons and turn left at a junction ignoring the path to the right. This section can sometimes be boggy underfoot. The path then emerges into mixed pine woodland. The path climbs gently to meet a track. A right turn here leads towards Balgy and enables a link with the Falls of Balgy circular walk, making for a much longer outing. Instead turn left, following the blue marker, and follow the wide track back through the woods to the bridge and the start of the walk.
