Restaurants and Eating Out in the Torridon & Gairloch region

The Badracho Inn The Badracho Inn

You can find Badachro Inn on the south shore of Loch Gairloch, in the shelter of Badachro Bay , one of the finest anchorages in the West of Scotland. A stone's throw from the jetty, Badachro Inn looks over to Isle Horrisdale. In Badachro Inn you can find an atmosphere to match; good company, the best chat, fine beers, wine and spirits (an excellent selection of malts) and a varied and exciting menu.

We welcome everyone: yachts-people, walkers, nature lovers... and in Badachro Inn we can put you in touch with places to stay and things to do while you're here. We have public internet access so you can read your email or check the weather forecast. Whether you are in this part of Scotland for a short or long stay, whether you are a family on holiday, munro-baggers or seafarers, Badachro Inn is the place to stop for a while.

Tigh an Eilean Hotel, Shieldaig Tigh an Eilean Hotel, Shieldaig

Enjoy our light and airy dining room with its fantastic views. Glimpse otters or sea eagles at breakfast or enjoy dinner with the sunset. We specialise in the finest local produce with an emphasis on fresh local seafood delivered directly from the village jetty to the kitchen door.

simple Shieldaig Bar is next door to the hotel and is open to non-residents from 11.00am daily. It sells beers on tap and a selection of quality wines, teas, coffees and home baking. It is justifiably famous for its fresh local seafood - try the seafood stew or fish and homemade chips! Or if you feel like something lighter, taste a few of our local langoustine or our homemade soup, all served with freshly baked bread.
