1. There is space to park on both sides of the road by the signpost for Achininver Hostel, just west of a bridge and white cottage on the minor road running east from Achilitibuie. From here take the signed grassy path which heads downhill towards the hostel, whose whitewashed walls are just visible.
2. There is a well-walked grassy shortcut that cuts out a bend on the original path, and the hostel is soon reached. The dramatic triangular peak rising behind is Conmheall, an outlier of the Ben More Coigach range. Do not cross the wooden footbridge to the building, but instead continue down the west side of the stream.
3. Soon the pebbly shore is reached where the burn flows out to sea - a great place to watch for otters who need to visit freshwater. There are beautiful views to the Summer Isles and across towards An Teallach. Return back up the path to the hostel; from here you could either return the same way, or make a boggy extension by crossing the bridge and passing through the front of the hostel grounds to a gate at the far side.
4. The gate gives access to a rough path, boggy in places. This eventually joins a vehicle track; turn left along this and follow it to a minor road. Turn left up the road to a t-junction, where a left turn once more soon leads back to the start.
