and meaning

Ardessie Falls no. 1

1. From the parking area walk back along the road towards Ardessie/Dundonnell. After crossing the river and viewing the lower waterfall continue for another 10 metres to where a faint path turns right up some rocks.

Ardessie Falls no. 2

2. Follow the path as it turns to the right and keeps nearer to the edge of the Allt Airdeasaidh. Here the stream forms a number of spectacular falls and narrows where the water has scooped out interesting shapes and bowls from the rock.

Ardessie Falls no. 3

3. Follow the faint path up the side of the stream for as far as you want. Ahead Sail Mhor looms on the horizon showing what an excellent viewpoint this Corbett is. The views over Loch Broom and the surrounding countryside get better the higher you go. Return to the road by the same outward route.
