Clashmore Holiday Cottages, set in an idyllic location overlooking Sutherland’s Atlantic coast and the wild waters of the Minch, is the place to come for peace and quiet, for romance and for room to breathe. It is situated in the beautiful, remote area of Assynt, on the west coast of Sutherland, just a few minutes walk from the sweeping sandy beach of Clashnessie Bay. The house has lovely open outlooks across the heather moorlands towards the mountain of Quinag and the sea. Around two hours' drive from Inverness, it is only around 7 miles from the popular fishing village of Lochinver, with its shops and restaurants.

Situated in Badenscallie in the majestic scenery of the Coigach peninsula, 20 miles north of Ullapool and 2 miles south of Achiltibuie, the house offers tranquility and magnificent views over the summer Isles, only 100yds from the beach, with miles of unspoilt rugged coastline to explore or head off uphill to the impressive Ben Mhor Coigach. Wildlife abounds for the observant with whales, seals, porpoises, eagles, deer, otters and much more or simply relax and let the ever changing light, sunsets or northern lights wash over you.

Ard Choille is situated in the picturesque village of Lochinver and is within walking distance of all local amenities. Open all year round and heated throughout, the property comprises a fitted kitchen/diner with fridge/freezer, washer/dryer, cooker and microwave, sitting room with TV/DVD/Video and a shower room. There are two bedrooms (sleeping up to six people), one with views over the harbour and the other with a view of the village and Suilven. Outdoor seating is provided in the garden. Rates include electricity, linen and towels. Breaks are from Saturday to Saturday and Short breaks are available in the winter months. Tariff ranges from £190-£350.

Taking breakfast outside, accompanied by the sights and sounds of the bay, is a fine way to set you up for the day and leave behind the cares and worries of everyday life

The Crofting hamlet of Culkein is situated along a single track road and the nearest town, Lochinver, is 10 miles away. Accommodation consists of 3 bedrooms (sleeps 6), 2 bathrooms (1 with shower), handmade kitchen/diner with dishwasher, washer/dryer, sitting room with multi-fuel fire and flat-screen TV, DVD and video player and a conservatory with dining area. The house has oil central heating with old style 'school' radiators and is furnished with antique pine furniture and Victorian wrought iron bedsteads. Children and dogs welcome.
