Can't say I've had that issue. Mind you I'm only using the Regional OS maps of Scotland.

Currently using Anquet v1.14, OSX Lion, 8Gb RAM.

Have you tried shutting everything down and just running Anquet?

Just be aware that the iPhone battery life is pretty poor. I use mine as a GPS with the Anquet system but make sure to stop the app from running in the background after checking a position. I would say with it running non-stop you're looking at 3 hours tops before it dies.

Where you went wrong is that you didn't have the right camera. You need the most recent & expensive body to win competitions like that.

There is some decent cheap gear to be found in Decathlon. European brands at decent prices.

Another option you might want to consider is to go for something like an Olympus PEN, Lumix G or a Sony NEX. I have an Olympus PEN which can fit into an anorak/shell pocket. I find it easier to use whilst out and about.

I've been running Anquet since 1.08 with no problems like you have encountered: OSX 10.6.8. Currently running 1.10.
