Especially watching the episodes from Series 1 when they had nearly no viewers, everything was completely improvised, and the presenter later replaced by James May giving very earnest used car tips, is absolutely funny in retrospe...

The music relation could be "Farewell to Stromness" a piece from Peter Maxwell Davies, which as I had not known before had it's world premiere just 20 km from where I am sitting at the moment, in the Pfalztheater in Kaiserslautern,Germany.(which back then still was an old movie theatre...c...

Re: Proposed Reintroduction of Lynx....thoughts?

Lynx got reintroduced in the forests around or village(in Germany) over the last few years, and I have heard of no problems whatsoever.

Re: Duncolm from Glasgow by bike again

@Sgurr In Germany I have already met a lot of people who have been to nearly everywhere in the world and just now start to recognize how beautiful our surrounding area is. Sometimes it's unbelievable, e.g. at a little spring which is just 2 km out of town, I have met people living here(for 20 years)...

Re: Putting Corona in the Bin

Happy to hear that you are back on your feet, I have some friends who had to fight very hard, too. But I am astonished to notice, that the medical science has never documented that Corona leads to split personality and brings out your dark side: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hcMnDvNgHgA  :lol...

Re: A salutary tale of coronavirus survived

Easy: People have trained. That is something which already happened in Asia with SARS and MERS. From what I see in Germany, even with reducing the lock down measure, people keep their distance a lot more than they did before. Second: Having some similarities to HIV does not mean it works like HIV. BT...

Re: A salutary tale of coronavirus survived

For everyones' sake stay at home! For how long? ...... April 1984 the US Health Department said an HIV vaccine was two years away. But HIV is a lot more complicated than Corona. And 1984 was another time. And at least there is very good medication for HIV now, which allows a fairly "normal&quo...

Re: Stay at home

As an encouragement from Germany: After a few days, rules might be obeyed more closely.
Was the same over here, at first a lot of people did not take it very seriously, but over time, it "sinks" in.
