After a long drive North & a late start to the day,i had cycled part way in on the usual route to Gulvain from the A830. After ditching the bike & continuing on foot for roughly 20 minutes or so i realised i was still wearing my cycle helmet which quickly resolved the question of the puzzled...

I've always found Stridingedge.net a good source for routes in the Lakes. It's not as detailed as the Munro/Corbett routes on WH but still gives you an idea with mapped routes & photo's. He also walks with his 2 Bearded Collies. As for Striding Edge itself,i'd personally give it a wide berth wit...
