Totally agree, it's all about the walk! Love your dogs and their doggie 'rucksacks'. We'll definitely aim for Ptarmigan descent next time. Hope you raised lots for your charity. We did Ben Nevis in April for Erskine Hospital, felt really worthwhile. Happy hiking! :D

Ben Nevis

The drive from Strathfillan Wigwams to Fort William is just over an hour and the scenery is breathtaking. We were on the road later than planned, there was no point getting to Fort William before 9am as we had to buy Ian new boots as his had literally fallen apart the day before climbing to the beal...

What a great day out Jack! Hope you and Granda do loads more mountains now that you have the 'professional' gear. Good luck with Ben Nevis, it's a toughie but always easier when you're doing it for charity :D And keep conquering those knickerbockerglories too!
