We're planning to walk in from Kinloch Hourn, do the munros over the weekend then walk to Inverie and take a boat back to Kinloch Hourn! Out of interest, how long did...

It is a very rugged area with great scenery and worth staying a few nights to take it all in.

Maol Chean-dearg

This was my second day walking in Glen Carron and early in the morning I drove down to Coulags. Parked the car in the lay by and walked back to pick the path that had the sign saying Glen Torridon. IMG_5010_edited-1.jpg Through the gate and followed the path along the side of Fionn-abhainn and in ab...

Sgorr Ruadh, Achnashellach

With the forecast for the beginning of the week looking good, I drove up to Achnashellach on Sunday and stayed for two nights at Ledgowan Lodge Hotel bunkhouse. I had it to myself on the Sunday evening and on the Monday evening there were two guys up from Shrewsbury. The bulk of the Munros that I ha...

I am just back from this area doing Sgorr Ruadh on Monday and Maol Chean-dearg on Tuesday. A great area with plenty of hills to do.

Re: Stob Ban (Grey Corries)

Yes there backpacks looked decidedly big for them though they were in good spirits at the end of there outing while waiting on the mini bus to collect them. As you say Sgurr Inse looked a wee beauty. Fine report Les, Sgurr Innse looks a beauty. I agree it's great seeing youngsters out on the hills t...

Stob Ban (Grey Corries)

Weather forecast for last Wednesday was looking reasonable and hopefully I would get a dry day which has not been the case in my last two outings. Arrived at the Corriechoille Lodge then drove carefully down the rutted track, through the gate then onto the space beside the old railway track to park ...

Re: Lochnagar on a sunny day.

Yes Peter and Snowdonia, well worth a visit on a good day and next time I am in the area would do it again. So that's what lochnagar looks like     All I saw was mist on the way up to the summit, although it did clear a bit later on. I liked your shot heading toward the summit. I...

Mount Keen from Glen Tanar

Stayed overnight in Braemar after climbing Lochnagar the previous day. Arrived at the car park at the head of Glen Tanar and set off about 9.30am. I had brought my bike with me and cycled for the first 10km. It was dry for the first ten minutes then had to put the waterproofs on. Going through the w...

Lochnagar on a sunny day.

I drove up to the Glen Muick car park last Thursday from Glasgow and the first surprise I had, there was about 30 cars in the car park and this was about 10.30am midweek. I guess it will be really busy most weekends and after doing the walk I could understand why it is popular for both high and low ...

Re: Ben Chonzie by the bus-full

Hi
I might have been the person that took the group photo at the summit as I was out with friends on Sunday and as you say it was very windy and cold on the summit. Congrats on achieving the 25 Munros for a worthy cause.
