Cape Wrath Trail has been mentioned in conversation a few times but could be out of some of the guys' comfort zone,would exclude the two drivers and tenting may be frowned on. Have to look seriously at route options.

Helvellyn

Walked with Mags from Thirlemere car park, followed well trodden path beside Helvellyn Gill leading to Browncove Crags and over Lower Man along ridge to summit. Weather warm and sunny to start but top a bit misty and hill very busy with walkers. Returned by same route to car.

Schiehallion

From car park near farm followed straight forward route up east ridge on to bouldery summit ridge. Due to heavy cloud and overcast conditions no great views but hill quiet with only two other guys out. Chaffy still enjoyed the views he did see and the boulder hopping on top.Returned by outward route...

Just logged on, but used site for few years finding walks suitable for walking virgins. Have been walking for over 40 years and enjoy taking and introducing new group of friends to our great passtime. Have lost my Munro CD with all recorded routes so will have to find old note book and use this site...

Headed out despite forecast saying cloudy tops, maybe lifting in afternoon, intending to do both hills as normal.
