Easter Munro Day

Was on my very first visit North of Inverness and the intention was to try and get Orkney & the whole North coast cracked in three days. Had the family booked too and got them to believe me that I had the weather booked as well! Now Orkney was fascinating and the history fantastic however my exc...

Re: Beinn Narnain & the Cobbler

Looks like you had a much clearer run than me. http://i103.photobucket.com/albums/m156/JABBER88/DSCF2816_zps5d35e6ee.jpg Across the way on Sob Coire Creagach. Stayed pea soup for most of the day above 600 metres. Snow was heavy and soft underfoot so was quite tough going up a very steep and b...

Great shots I love the Mamores and pardon the ad but I think the Blackwater Hostel is brilliantly placed for a weekend up there. Amazing the difference almost two months makes from when me and my mate struggled up Binnein Beag after a steeeeeep climb up to Sgurr Eilde Mor. However what a day we had....

Re: Doubted but ultimately vindicated on Ben Challum

Great report. Never been up Challum in it's Summer/Autumn coat and I might now. This is one of my favourite winter walks if only to break in my axe and crampons before going up the tighter ridges. Great photos

Re: A Panther who took the bull by the Horns

Nice one BP. We passed going in the opposite direction. ( just before the summit of Tom na Gruagaich) The girls found the ascent steep so I can understand the pain for your knees. I thought the sound of the stags when we got passed the horns enthralling as I had only ever heard this on Tv before. Wh...
