Re: Liathach.........not as hairy scary as I'd imagined

I enjoyed that report and also found it really helpful, thanks. I think I feel pretty well exactly the same as you did before you did the hike - looking forward to it but apprehensive about the pinnacles. You've helped my confidence a lot; I'll wait for a nice day (hopefully...) and try it then. Bet...

Re: Cefn Yr Ystrad

Looks like you had a beautiful day. Great info and pics - I've never been to the Brecon Beacons before but am planning on tackling the Hewitts there early in the New Year and your description will be very helpful :D .

Fantastic photos. Beautiful colours. 😃. Love your description of Sutherland and the hills there.
I know it's special but hadn't come up with that insight. Looks like you a great day. Also a very helpful description of the route, thanks 👍👍👍.

Re: MOUNTAINS, MARATHONS & MERINGUES!!

Really enjoyed reading that report, especially the non-Blaven Skye excursion bits. Fab pics. :) :) Was also lucky enough to get that same view from The Cuillin Hotel when visiting Portree with my wife 12 years ago. Memories! :D

Re: The Birthday Pinn

 congrats. Good read and very useful report - I'm hoping to get up the In Pin this year. Looks scarier than I thought 😯. I bumped into Harry a couple of days ago at Glen Shiel campsite, him and his mate, Callum, were super friendly. Nice guys. Harry loved his day on the In Pin! 😀

Re: Stob Ban (Grey...and occasionally Sunny Corries)

Got some good laughs reading that  . Your encounter with the ghillie had me quaking at first - my worst nightmare is an irate tweed-suited grumpy running at me with a shotgun. Glad he turned out to be friendly. Maybe I need therapy. :( Anyway, your report helped me make my mind up to do this wi...

Re: Aonach Beag Four from Culra Bothy

Really enjoyed reading that. Thanks. . Honest and helpful insights into what you were thinking as the challenges emerged. I wont be going in winter! Like your recipe for the homemade rehydration drink - electrolyte tablets seem like a bit of a rip-off. Cheers.

Re: Loch Arkaig 3....make that 4

  Nice report. Big day. Stunning views and pics. I'm toying with trying the same but in the other direction - theory being that when I'm out of gas I should at least be able to manage a long plod out. I can see the benefit of doing it your way round, though, so you can take stock near th...
