Re: Some biblical weather on the Cuillin ridge!

Hi, I really, really enjoyed this report!   I'm hoping to do the ridge soon (with a guide) so I found your story both enjoyable and informative. What a great effort considering the weather  Must be a great feeling to have completed them under such difficult circumstances (th...

Re: Cuillin guides?

I didn't use a guide on the couple of occasions I did the ridge, but I did a couple of courses with Mike Laing of Snowdonia Climbing (climbing; and winter skills) and found him superb. I know he does at least one if not more ridge expeditions every year - I met him entirely by chance in Glen Brittl...

I'd imagine one-to-one guiding will be fairly pricey.

Thank you for the advice Iain.

Cuillin guides?

Good morning, I have climbed over 60 munros including Aonach Eagach, Forcan ridge, Ring of Steall etc, and i've had many long days including Bridge of Orchy 5, Glenshee 6, Ben Lawers 7, and 9 at Glen Shiel so i think i'm ready to tackle the Cuillin. However, i would be much more comfortable with a g...

Re: Ten Cool ‘uns on Skye

I know i'm extremely 'late to the party' here, but i extremely enjoyed this post. Having recently completed the Forcan ridge i really enjoyed remembering the 'chimney' and my terror descending it!  I completed the S. Glenshiel ridge the same day which seemed a doddle after scrambling ...

Re: I can't Adam 'n Eve it!

Hi,

Thought this was a great report, so in depth and informative, and looks like you both had a great time.

I've just finished the 3peaks challenge and really enjoyed Snowdon - definitely need to see more of Wales!

Thanks for the post.

Re: High Camp on the Ring of Steall - Fire Below & Stars Abo

I know I'm late to the party, but just wanted to say I thoroughly enjoyed this report. I completed the 4munros last year in similar weather, took my time and loved it - one of my favourite days so far (I've only completed 32munros, but each have been epic to me).
Great photos too
