Re: No ravens drinking blood but a skull will have to do

Poor Danny. He was such a handsome chap. I'm still looking for a nice hill on which to try out my 'new' ice axe. Fionn Bheinn might fit the bill nicely.

Schiehallion! Schiehallion! Schiehallion!

Discovery of the Met Office Five Day Forecast that may be searched for a specific hill and gives an hour-by-hour assessment of the likely conditions has extended greatly the possibilities for my weekend walking. While the whole of the country seemed to be covered with grey gloom and heavy showers, I...

LOST walking stick Glen Feshie

Thought to have been left in the car park at Glen Feshie on Friday 10 August, a carved walking stick of sentimental value.

Re: Slioch - the end of the spear but not quite

I have ticked it as 'done', too, but would love to climb it again and do the whole horseshoe ridge on a day when the promised magnificent views could be realised.

Thanks for another great day out!

PS Kind of you to fail to mention Charlie stealing your lunch!

Re: Beinn Bhrotain test for dodgy joints - human & canine!

Forgot to ask - did you find your camera or is it still somewhere up there? :([/quote]

I have it. The pictures are rather disappointing, though.

Re: Beinn Bhrotain test for dodgy joints - human & canine!

The views of the Cairngorm big boy hills were spectacular, as your photos show. I can't understand the low user rating at all. A great day out - thanks DogPlodder!

East to West. Get in touch when the ligament is repaired and we can do something then. :)

Re: Knoydart Day 1. Munro Bagging Without a Beard

Loved your report and photos. I have Knoydart pencilled into the diary for June but there is now some doubt over my companion for the trip. Your report has made me determined to go for it whatever. :)

That's far too conventional.

Well done on the Strathfarrars - which two?

The two far-off ones (I forget their names).
