Sorry for the picture-quality, I know that it is not great.

Anyway, thank you for your hindsight. I guess we will never be sure of the exact species, but from memory it was thrush-sized.

It was wee while ago, and the light was not very good, so I did not saw it better than what is on the picture.

I am just hoping someone with more experience can confirm the identification,

I went a few weeks back to Baron's haugh and I saw this bird, could anyone confirm if this is a fieldfare ?

Around Arthur's Seat with a detour around Duddingston Loch

Nice wee walk.

Possibility of a steep muddy shortcurt at Duddingston, next to the white house adjacent to the water (there is a muddy path on the right leading to the shore of the loch, nice bird spotting area too), to rejoin the main road around Arthur's Seat.

I did all my walks using public transport, I usually check the walks which are around the train stations. You can click on the "View on a map" button below the list of walks in a certain region to see which one are close to the station (it has been really helpful). I agree with the posts a...
