Drowning in Sunshine in Dalmally

Couldn't have picked a better day with clear blue skies and virtually no wind as we parked up at Castle Farm around 8.30am. Setting off just after 8.45 we were quickly making good ground up the landrover track heading for Beinn a'Chochuill, passing Beinn Eunaich on our right who's slopes seemed duan...

rocket-ron wrote:well done planning these in the next few weeks

Make mine's a double!

Having caught Ghlas, Lawers and Stuc two weeks previous we were keen to catch Greigh and Garbh. As we set off from the Lawers Hotel car park just before eight it felt unseasonally mild for this time of year. By the time we were passed the farm and up unto the approach to Meall Greigh the wind had st...

Another early rise seen us starting our ascent of Meall nan Tarmachan just before eight. DSCN2002.JPG Not long into the walk the wind strated to pick up and the c...

Re: First Trio

Thanks Polly, yes I'd agree with you, An Stuc was a wee bit tricky, especially it being the last one and my legs a being a bit heavier by then . Hopefully we can get a few more weekends with the weather being so good. :D

First Trio

Having been forced to work the Saturday which gave us one of the best weekend days for a long time I was worried that Sunday was going to be a let down with regards to the weather even though all forecasts were showing Sunday would be as good as. Pleasantly I wasn't let down as the sun started to ri...

Re: A fine day on Ben Chonzie

As in line with most of the reports I found this hill anything but boring. Well said Pelter99!!!!! we only met one guy at the summit who had come up from the creiff end stating that the walk up from Invergeldie was boring, (each to their own I suppose).
