They did say there was a delay in supply as there was a global tenant shortage at the time. That's the reaso...

Have completed it a couple of times, all I’ll say is start planning we’ll in advance. I would recommend the Harvey’s WHW map as an excellent planning tool. And the. Walk wi...

Re: Jura-Islay-Colonsay or Arran?
You may find sheep more of an issue than cattle on the islands. Worryingly I’ve seen any number of apparently docile dogs change in the presence of sheep. Include my own in this. Bear in mind farmers may shoot dogs that are worrying livestock.

Re: Can I just walk through fields ?
Do not walk through fields unless there is a path or unless you absolutely need to. Respect other peoples properties and livelihoods. Stick to paths where you can. Ask yourself the question ‘am I respecting the owners property’. Unfortunately some routes involve walking distances along tarmac. It co...

Re: Fife Coastal Path - questions about route and accommodat
Let me begin by saying, "Wow!" And let me continue by saying, "Thank you." I really appreciate all these suggestions, even if they make choosing one approach over another challenging. A good challenge to have, mind you. Arthurs Eat (and anyone else who cares to jump in) - I find...

Re: Fife Coastal Path - questions about route and accommodat
I would recommend starting in Newburgh. Its a lovely place. There is quite a bit of inland walking to the Tay Bridge, but I really enjoyed it. The following days through St Andrews, Tentsmuir Forest, Fife Ness, Kingsbarns, Crail Anstruther and on are great. Don't miss lobster on a roll at the shed a...
