Re: Walking Buddy needed - Cairngorms 10th - 17th August

Nick I will message you - we have done Bynack More before and I am sure my other half would love to do it again. We really enjoyed that munro. Same again with Glen Feshie - we have done Sgor Gaoith from Glen Feshie but no others so he would be up for that. Cheers everyone and enjoy your week, wherev...

Re: Ben Macdui and Cairngorm

We walked this route in August a couple of years ago and most of the way, would have been fine with just decent boots and a waterproof (but still really stupid to try and get away with it). The last third of the walk, the weather really changed and we found ourselves in the clouds, winds so loud we ...

Re: Walking Buddy needed - Cairngorms 10th - 17th August

Thanks for the replies everyone! If anyone does change their mind about Skye or finds themselves at a loose end, get in touch. I am sure we will meet some walking mates for him at the pub on the first night if not! Thanks again.

Walking Buddy needed - Cairngorms 10th - 17th August

Hello Everyone, We are coming up to Nethy Bridge on Saturday 10th and my lovely boyfriend is without a walking mate for the week - it would usually be me, but I am 6 months pregnant so not up to doing munros! He is keen to do some mountain walks, bit of munro bagging if possible and have someone to ...

High Drama on Sgor Gaoith

This is quite emotional and dramatic - you have been warned! So, this month we found ourselves in the Cairngorms. This wasn't expected, in fact, Munros were off the menu for the foreseeable future not too long before now. We started off on our more serious hillwalking a couple of years ago, and than...

Re: Scorrybeac at speed

We did this walk last year and really enjoyed it, it was lovely to be reminded of it! Luckily for us we didn't have to rush back for anything other than chip shop last orders.

Re: Sgurr Alasdair

Hi druidsam, yes I think you are right...she is a brave border collie and would definitely have a go, but I think she would need a week off to recover afterwards! I am glad I read your report, saves us getting to the chute and turning back! So thanks for that, and a great report with nice photos.

Re: Sgurr Alasdair

Good report druidsam! Looks like you had a lovely day for it as well.
We are planning to walk this route in a few weeks but we didn't know if the dog would cope with the stone chute! Your photos have given us a much better idea. Ta!
